Boxing that connects
with your whole program.
Boxing at Complx is coached — not just a circuit class. Our coaches coordinate with your personal trainer and physio team to make sure your boxing program works with your body, not against it. If you're training around an injury, we adapt.
Technique First
Every session starts from good fundamentals. Whether you're a beginner or returning to boxing, we build on proper technique before increasing intensity.
Progressive Conditioning
Our coaching team tracks your progress and increases the challenge as your fitness and technique develop — you're always working at the right level.
Injury Awareness
Our coaches communicate with your physio and PT team. If you're managing an injury, we modify and adapt — keeping you training safely.
Qualified. Experienced.
Integrated with your whole program.
Every practitioner at Complx is qualified in their field and works directly with the rest of your health team — not in isolation.

Boxing classes in South Melbourne - FAQs.
No. A large share of our members had never thrown a punch before their first session. Every class starts from technique — stance, guard, footwork — and our coaches scale the intensity to you. You won’t be the only beginner in the room.
Just training gear, a water bottle and a towel.
Our group classes are non-contact — you work pads, bags and conditioning, never each other. There’s no sparring in a standard class. [Confirm: is sparring available at all, in any format? Experienced fighters are a listed audience.]
Two to three sessions a week is a solid rhythm for most people — enough to build technique and conditioning without burning out. If boxing is your main training, three to four. If it’s cross-training alongside your PT program, one or two.
Boxing is a high-intensity workout that combines cardiovascular and strength demands, so it burns significant energy per session. But weight loss comes down to overall energy balance, sleep and consistency — not any single class. If that’s your goal, we’d pair boxing with a personal training program and be honest with you about what it takes.

45 to 60 minutes: a warm-up, a technical block on pads or bags, then a conditioning circuit built around what you’ve just drilled. Your coach corrects technique throughout. Every session is different.
Sophia Karamitos and Jamie Percival coach boxing at Complx Health. Sophia specialises in technical boxing, HIIT and conditioning. Jamie is our founder and coaches 1:1 boxing personal training alongside strength and conditioning.
Often yes. Tell your coach what’s going on before the session and they’ll modify — boxing is easy to adapt around a niggle. Our AHPRA-registered physiotherapist is in the same building if the problem needs assessing properly.
